Youth Kickoff

September Youth Events! On Sunday, September 12 from 5:30-8:00 PM come enjoy the Youth Kickoff! The theme is Minute to Win it! Youth will compete in a series of Minute to Win it style challenges.

New Youth Group Times

Starting on Sunday, September 19 there will be a change in youth group times. 7th and 8th grade youth will meet in the youth room from 4:30-6:30 PM. 9th-12th grade youth will meet in the youth room from 6:00-8:00 PM. From 6:00-6:30PM there will be combined refreshments and fellowship time for grades 7-12. Come check it out!

Youth Leadership Recognition and Recruiting Event

On Sunday, September 19 at 12:00 PM a Youth Leadership recognition and recruiting event will be held in the Youth Room. Adults and youth 10th-12th grade are invited. Lindsay Arnold and Kara Stuebing will be recruiting leadership for youth group, youth events, and confirmation. If you are interested in participating with the youth this year or want to find out more about what is going on in youth group, plan to attend! In addition to being confirmation leaders, youth grades 10-12 will have the opportunity to volunteer with middle school youth on a regular basis. New Youth Director!

Please welcome CUMC's new youth director, Kara Stuebing! Kara is a 2002 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Religious Studies. Kara’s experience includes serving as the Youth Director at Community of Faith UMC and Galilee UMC. She has also served as an Assistant to Youth Ministry and Children’s Ministry. She and her family live in Sterling, Virginia.

Youth Pool Party and Cookout

There is no Youth Group on Sunday, June 27 or Sunday, July 4. On July 11 let’s start the summer off with a bang! The Youth will be going to Pastor Huntsman's house for a POOL PARTY and COOKOUT! It will be from 6:00– 8:00 PM.  Food will be provided- so just bring your bathing suits. All are welcome! See you there!!!

Youth Praise Band

All youth are invited to join the youth praise band! The band practices a couple times a week and plays at the Sunday worship services. All instruments are welcome!

2010 "God Recycles" Confirmation Class

The 2010 "God Recycles" Confirmation Class came to a close May 16th as each new member was recognized at the Centreville UMC Sunday worship services. Special thanks to the youth leaders, adult leaders, parents, volunteers and custodians who made possible the journeys these youth underwent in this class. The Centreville United Methodist Church welcomes these new members and hopes that this will be the beginning of many ministry adventures we will have together.
